The Best Christmas Present Ever - Part II

Moving onward with the basketball court.....
They put up a wooden frame

And put the rebar down. In the picture below, you can see the post in the back ground. It was spray painted black by the Lowry crew.

Two days before Christmas, the concrete was poured and the post was put in place.

On Christmas eve, the concrete guy came and cut the grooves into the concrete.

Finally, the day after Christmas the backboard and net were put up and we were able to use our new basketball court!!!

We still have some finishing touches to make. We plan to put up a small retaining wall along the back ridge to keep the dirt from falling on the court. And Craig plans to have the court painted with the appropriate lines. Then we have some landscaping to do. The yard is quite muddy now, so hopefully it won't be too long till we have some grass and I can plant some bushes on the front slope.
I think we will all enjoy this Christmas present!!!
