Football season and Pinatas - part II

Part II - Finally, last Sunday, we got to break open the 2nd pinata that Craig and Shannon made a couple months ago. The Redskin and Cowboy game was upon us, so we attacked the pinata with the big blue star.

We couldn't find the baseball bat that we used last time, so we had to use a street hockey stick.

The boys each got a couple good hits and stabs with the hockey stick before it busted open.

The pinata was filled with plenty of goodies: candy, football cards, hockey cards and coins.

Another recent activity in our household was a Nerf gun war. We had an early Christmas celebration with my family a few weeks ago. The boys had some money to spend and they decided to each buy a new Nerf gun (although they have about 4 Nerf guns already). So, we took the guns home and Craig decided it was a good evening for a Nerf gun war. We turned all the lights out in the house and snuck around like snipers.

That's something I never aspired to do, but with a household of boys you never know what activities they might come up with.
