Fun times and Friends

It's been a while since I have given an update on our busy life. I thought I would start this blog with a picture of my handsome boys.....

We have been visiting some new churches over the past few months and this was a Sunday morning picture.

Last Sunday was Halloween. Shannon invited a few friends to come trick or treat with him and Eamon invited a few friends to come over and hand out candy with him. So, we had snacks out and had several friends over. The boys came over while there was still a little daylight out, so they started the evening with a friendly game of football.

Here is the crew at the end of the evening - starting with the back row we have: Zoe (the lone girl of the evening), Eamon, Andrew, Jake, Seamus, then Shannon, Matthew and Finn. Everyone seemed to have a really fun evening!

Travel soccer has also kept us busy lately. Yesterday we were going two separate directions. Eamon had a game in Lynchburg, so he rode with the Lovingers. He had a fun time with his buddies (Jake and Seamus) on the ride to and from the game. The team also did very well, coming home with a win and first place status in the league for the season. Shannon's team was playing four mini-games in Blacksburg, so we teamed up with Finn's dad (Bob). Shannon had a fun day with his soccer buddies also. His team also did very well with 3 wins and one tie (a scoreless game of 0-0). I got a pic of the boys on the way to the games (Matthew, Shannon and Finn). They were very quiet on the way down and we barely heard a peep out of them.

The day was cold and windy - a rather miserable day to sit outside and watch soccer!! However, on the ride home, the boys were a little more lively and decided they were hot! So, they started shedding clothes,as you can see, and they devoured a lot of food!! It was a long day, but a fun time for everyone!
